Students and Young Adults

At Pantygwydr we love students and all they contribute to our church family. During your time in university there are opportunities to make new friends when you have moved away from home possibly for the first time. It would be wonderful for you to join us wherever you are on your journey of faith. As well as regular fellowship, we like to provide students with a chance to see the beautiful area.

We are running a few events over the term for students or anyone in their 20s so please drop by:

  • 27th September and 4th October - student lunch after the Sunday Service- see below for details

  • 17th October - Harvest Supper at 6.30pm

  • 14th November - Food&Missions Venezuela Evening with Venezuelan food

  • 28th November - Walk in Mid Wales, a chance to see the area. Lifts provided if you’d like to come

  • December- Day Trip to Cardiff

Support Away From Home

Our student ministry is run by our Youth Pastor and a team who know the joys and some of the challenges that can be involved in  student life. We would like to be there for you. Please feel free to say hello!

Our Pastors Matt and Ian are University Chaplains in Swansea University, and some of our members work there too, lecturing or in support services. Many students (both Undergraduate and Postgraduate) make Pantygwydr their fellowship whilst they are in Swansea, and enjoy the chance to mix with the local community.

Local or Global- Come and Join In

Our Food&Mission series for Students and Young Adults aims to examine what it’s like to be a Christian around the world.

Blending an informal chance to socialise with a global outlook, we join together for a meal themed around the country we’re looking at, and then learn about the experiences of the Christians living there

14th November at 7pm, we will meet for our Venezuela evening. Come and try Arepas and other Venezuelan foods and sweets, to learn what it means to be a Christian in the country. All students welcome!
