Students and Young Adults
At Pantygwydr we love students and all they contribute to our church family. During your time in university there are opportunities to make new friends when you have moved away from home possibly for the first time. It would be wonderful for you to join us wherever you are on your journey of faith.
We are running a few events over the summer for any visiting students or anyone in their 20s so please drop by:
13th June 7pm: Food&Mission- Pizza evening, learning what it’s like to be a Christian living in Italy
13th July 7pm-9pm: Beach BBQ- Celebrate the end of exams with a BBQ on the Beach meeting in front of Secrets Cafe.
2nd August: Walk on Gower- Get to know the area with a walk on the beautiful Gower Peninsula.
Support Away From Home
Our student ministry is run by our Youth Pastor and a team who know the joys and some of the challenges that can be involved in student life. We would like to be there for you. Please feel free to say hello!
Our Pastors Matt and Ian are University Chaplains in Swansea University, and some of our members work there too, lecturing or in support services. Many students (both Undergraduate and Postgraduate) make Pantygwydr their fellowship whilst they are in Swansea, and enjoy the chance to mix with the local community.
New to Church? Never been before? Got questions about the Christian faith?
Why not try an Alpha Course:
Summer BBQ
Mark the end of the summer term with us with a BBQ on the beach!
Local or Global- Come and Join In
Our Food&Mission series for Students and Young Adults aims to examine what it’s like to be a Christian around the world.
Blending an informal chance to socialise with a global outlook, we join together for a meal themed around the country we’re looking at, and then learn about the experiences of the Christians living there
13th June at 7pm, we met for our Italy evening. With pizza and Italian drinks and sweets, we learned what it means to be a Christian in Italy. Great to have some new people turn up and join in too.
Our next meeting will be in the autumn term.
