What Makes Christmas At Pantygwydr So Special?

Christmas at Pantygwydr Baptist Church is a really special time. The whole church welcomes the community to join in celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. This Bible verse sums up why it’s so important for us:

‘For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
    Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
    Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.’

From the very young, to those amongst us more advanced in years there is a time to celebrate with us. Our Family Nativity Service will be full of fun, with children’s carols and Christmas Crafts. Dress up as an angel, wiseman, shepherd or sheep if you feel like it! See you on Sunday 21st December at 11am.

Our Candlelit Carols will provide a time to reflect and embrace the spiritual message of Christmas. Singing all your favourite carols in the atmospheric candle light will definitely become a highlight of your Christmas. Join us at 6pm on Christmas Eve.

Our Christmas Morning Service is at 10am will be a lovely service where we sing carols, and the children are able to show us their presents.

We also put on fantastic community events including:

  • Carol Aid, where Swansea schools come and perform their Christmas music. This is taking place on the 5th December at 6.30 pm in the main church building.

  • Wreath Making, create a handmade Christmas wreath for your door. Join us for this fun creative evening on the 8th December at 7pm in the Church Hall.

  • Christmas dinner and parties for our young people, our small groups and Church family.

  • Our Wellness Cafe Renew@theStream will have their own special Christmas Cafe on the 16th December, a chance to put on your Christmas Jumper and join in the fun!

Please come along- we’d love to see you!
