Is Pantygwydr a Family Friendly church? What is there for children?

We’re blessed with many young people who are a vibrant part of church life here at Pantygwydr. We have a full-time Youth Pastor, Ian Paterson who is dedicated to encouraging and discipling young people in their faith.

On Sunday mornings at 11am we run a full programme for children and families. We begin together in the main service, so children can share in the joy of worshipping as a whole church family. Around 11.30 they will go off to their own classes. Our teachers do a wonderful job of sharing Bible stories and encouraging our children through games and crafts, allowing them to make friends and develop their faith in a supportive setting.

Alongside gathering together on Sunday mornings, our youth also meet for LIMITLESS, our youth group on Monday evenings. For younger children, we run special events such as our Holiday Bible Club in the summer, offering fun, friendship, and faith-filled activities. Ian Paterson will be happy to give you more details. He also organises a weekend away at SPREE Youth event that takes place in Carmarthenshire. More details from  SPREE 2026 which is taking place on 3rd to 5th July 2026.

As a Family Friendly church, we take the safety and wellbeing of children and young people very seriously. Our safeguarding pages provide details of our Safeguarding Team and explain how you can raise a concern or query at any time.
